Fatal crash in northern N.B.

One person has died after a single-vehicle crash in Black River Bridge, N.B.

At around 2 am on March 11, Richibucto RCMP, Ambulance New Brunswick and Miramichi Fire Department responded to a crash on Route 117. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene as a result of their injuries.

It’s believed the crash occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it left the roadway.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the identity of the individual and cause of death.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
