20 bales of tobacco and rolling papers were seized last week at the Dorchester Penitentiary.
The total estimated in-prison value of the seizure is $3000.
The Correctional Service of Canada brought forward a total smoking ban in all federal correctional institutions back in 2008.
The seizure of the package was last Thursday.
