2 injured after vehicle strikes Moncton restaurant

Two people suffered minor injuries after a vehicle crashed into the side of a restaurant in Moncton, according to fire officials.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to Deluxe French Fries on Mountain Road at around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Platoon Chief Brian McDonald told our newsroom that two people inside the restaurant were treated for minor injuries, while the vehicle driver was not hurt.

McDonald said the restaurant sustained what he would describe as “minor” damage, noting the vehicle did not end up inside the building.

Codiac Regional RCMP are investigating what caused the vehicle to hit the restaurant in the first place.
