2 arrested after Moncton-area dispensaries searched

Two people have been arrested after searches at a pair of Moncton-area dispensaries.

Peace officers searched Queen-E Smoke and Vape on Mountain Road in Moncton and Pinewood Road in Riverview on May 9.

The Department of Justice Safety said officers seized contraband cannabis products at both locations, including:

  • 744 grams of dried cannabis
  • 15 grams of hashish
  • 196 various cannabis edibles
  • 11 cannabis vapes
  • 289 pre-rolled cannabis joints
  • 13 grams of cannabis resin
  • 18 grams of shatter
  • two ATMs
  • one money counter
  • $5,021 in cash

A 24-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, both from Moncton were arrested.

The two store employees are expected to face charges under the federal Cannabis Act.
