UPDATE: New Brunswick’s First Babies Of 2023

A new year with new babies welcomed into the world in New Brunswick.

Vitalité Health Network reported the first child at the Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton was born at 8:49 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Patience Safford and Christopher Shannan are the proud parents of Phoebe Shannan, who weighed in at 7.5 pounds.

At the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, Emily Gagnon was brought into this world at 5:04 am, weighing almost 6.5 pounds.

Horizon Health reported Alexander as the first baby born in their facilities at 10:28 a.m. on January 1st.
