Thousands Remain In Dark Days After High Winds

Over 23,000 NB Power customers are going on day three without electricity this morning.

Over 1500 of those are in the Greater Moncton area.

The hardest hit is still the Fredericton area, where over 10,000 people remain in the dark.

Around 200 NB Power crews are working to get the lights back on.

The utility is encouraging anyone who does not have power, to unplug items in their homes, as it will help the restoration process.

A reminder about generators, and not to keep them inside your home, a garage or near a window or intake vent.

The New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization is reporting four people became sick from carbon monoxide because they were using a generator inside their house.
