2027 disc golf national championship to be held in Dieppe

Lots of growth in the game of disc golf.

Dieppe has signed on to host the national championships in September 2027, along with Riverview and Memramcook.

They have worked collaboratively with a local disc golf group that has been around since 2007, and they have hosted smaller events. That’s how discussions began, and the decision to apply to host a national championship.

Director of Community Development Denis Leblanc says it’s expected to attract around 400 players from across Canada. The economic spinoff for the City of Dieppe is estimated at between $500,000 and $1 million.

An exact date will be announced later.
