Emergency responders were called to the Gunningsville Bridge early Tuesday morning.
There were reports of an encampment fire underneath.
Moncton Fire Deputy Chief Keith Guptill says large flames were reported, and there was fire in the long grass.
Only one crew was required, and firefighters worked quickly to get the fire under control and extinguish it.
No one was hurt, and there’s minimal damage.
