N.B. firefighters assist with wildfires in Western Canada

Wildfires have forced more than 17,000 residents from their homes in Manitoba.

Communities, including Flin Flon, are affected. They were ordered out earlier this week.

A province-wide state of emergency was declared on Wednesday.

Firefighters from across the country are lending a helping hand.

Twenty New Brunswick firefighters, two division supervisors, and one agency representative all headed to Manitoba on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a state of emergency has also been declared in Saskatchewan. Around 15 communities have been forced to evacuate in that province due to wildfires.
