Welcome To Milo, The White Handed Gibbon

The Magnetic Hill Zoo’s latest addition now has a name.

Born in February, the white handed gibbon will be known as Milo.

A contest was held, inviting the public to vote for the best name. Over 1100 votes were received to help decide, with Milo coming out on top.

Zoo Director Jill Marvin encourages everyone to come and see the family of four white handed gibbons, Milo, Rudee, K’nook and Lek.

They are endangered species who are at risk due to habitat loss and poaching.
