Donations Still Need For Support In Ukraine

As the war rages on between Russia and Ukraine, supplies are still desperately needed.

The Ukrainian Club of Moncton has seen an outpouring of support from local businesses and residents.

Executive Member Natalia Haidash says their first priority right now is to support those under fire, “We organize purchasing of tactical medical supplies in Canada and the United States. We find ways to ship them directly to Ukrainian volunteers who distribute them to hot spots across Ukraine. For local Ukrainian hospitals or for small communities who do not have other sources for help and do not receive the aid in the amount they need or do not receive the aid at all.”

Tens of thousands of dollars has already been raised in Greater Moncton after several fundraisers were held.

Haidash says awareness rallies held on the weekends, also continue to attract a lot of support.

A Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24th.
