Anglophone East School District Says Planned Demonstrations Causing Anxiety

An advisory from Anglophone East School District families about COVID-19 restrictions was sent to parents Thursday night.

It states messages have been circulating on social media this week inviting families to protest against Public Health protections, including not wearing masks at school.

But the District says demonstrations announced in other regions are causing feelings of anxiety amongst many students and staff, and this is harming the school environment.

Anglophone East is asking parents to continue encouraging and reassuring their children to come to school and continue respecting Public Health protections.
