Detached garage in Dieppe damaged by fire

There’s moderate damage after a detached garage fire in Dieppe.

Platoon Chief Denis Roberge says it was reported on Juniper Crescent just after 6 p.m. Sunday.

“Some neighbours had seen flames from the back of the back of a residential garage. Crews quickly extinguished it, minimized the damage and prevented spread to any other buildings,” Roberge says.

Roberge says the damage was primarily to the siding and roof of the garage.

Firefighters were on the scene for just over an hour.

No word on a cause yet.
