Man charged in connection with child porn investigation

A Moncton man is facing charges in connection with a child pornography investigation from 2019.

The RCMP launched a probe in August 2023, after the Internet Child Exploitation Unit received information.

Officers searched a home on Midway Drive in Moncton.

Several electronic devices were seized from the residence and a 42-year-old man was arrested.

He was charged in May 2024 and in July, he pleaded not guilty to breaching a probation order.

A trial date has been set for January 2026.

The man had previously spent time behind bars in 2019 after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.

The New Brunswick RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit includes members from the Saint John Police Force and the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force.
