10th Year For “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes” In Moncton

Men of all shapes and sizes will slip on a pair of high heels this Friday and Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.

It’s the tenth year for the event that raises awareness about gender based violence, but it is the first year it will benefit The Southeast Sexual Assault Centre.

Honourary Chair Robert Basque will be up front leading the way, “This is not just a problem of women, it is a problem of society, and to let the women in our lives know that we care. It is our way of supporting women in their fight against misogyny, sexual harassment, sexual assault and other things they have to endure.””

The walk is being held this Friday from 11am to 1pm, starting at the Crowne Plaza.

The South East Sexual Assault Centre was created by Crossroads for Women, and it is the first year that it will benefit from funds being raised in the walk.

This is the tenth year that the “Walk a Mile In her Shoes” event is being held in Moncton.
