Slippery Conditions After Light Snowfall In Greater Moncton

The first snowfall of the season in Southeast New Brunswick caused some slippery driving conditions.

Environment Canada was calling for up to two centimetres to fall in the region.

Motorists reported wet, slippery conditions in areas including Shediac to Sackville and from Salisbury to Moncton.

Salisbury Fire responded to an accident on Highway 2 westbound just after 7am. A post to their social media stated the Highway was down to one lane, and they asked motorists to move over while crews were working.

We’ve also had reports of cars sliding off the road into the ditch in the McLaughlin Road area.

Salt trucks are reportedly out around the region.
