A strange sewage like smell in Moncton north end, recently had some residents asking questions.
Listeners contacted us recently stating the odour was especially prominent in the area of Highway 15 and Mountain Road.
City Spokesperson Austin Henderson reached out to the Water and Wastewater Department to find out more.
He says they also received calls regarding the smell, and decided to investigate.
They discovered a blocked main sewer was the culprit.
Crews worked to clear the sewer most of Tuesday and Henderson says the issue has now been resolved.
