Moncton Fire Chief Receives Fire Services Exemplary Award

Moncton Fire Chief Conrad Landry was recognized at City Council with the Fire Services Exemplary Award.

Mayor Dawn Arnold says this is given to in recognition of 20 years of loyal and exemplary service to public safety in Canada. “This service medal was created in 1985 by the Canadian Monarch and Council and it recognizes members of recognized Canadian fire services who have served for 20 years, ten of which have been served in the performance of duties involving potential risks.”

The Mayor also thanked Chief Landry for stepping up in the last year and a half as the head of the Emergency Coordination Centre

“I would also like to say a very special thank you for stepping up in the last year and a half for keeping us all so safe. I thank you for your service, particularly for some of your new tasks that you have taken on,” Arnold says.
