2025 to draw thousands for festivals and events in Dieppe

It’s expected to be a busy summer for festivals in Dieppe.

In 2025, thousands will spend time on the Musiq’Art site, attending Jeux L’Acadie in June or YQM CountryFest in August, just to name a few.

During a year-end interview, Mayor Yvon Lapierre says another annual event in August will flaunt Acadian pride.

“There will be shows happening during the celebration of L’Acadie on that same site, it’s being used every year. Last year, 12,000 people attended those events. It’s not the size of YQM CountryFest but it still keeps the place very occupied. People come at every opportunity.”

He says to this point, the site has been mostly for Acadian festivals and YQM CountryFest, and he says the city is happy about that.

Jeux L’Acadie will welcome thousands of young athletes, coaches and their families from across the country. Athletics will be held at locations including Mathieu-Martin School, CCNB and UNIplex.

“But of course, we’re always open to negotiate and speak with others, with other groups. We have,
one I can’t announce. So we do have more events coming, but I can’t talk about it,” Lapierre said.

YQM CountryFest has brought upwards of 20, 000 fans to the community each of the past three summers.
