Two Arrested In Drug Trafficking Investigation In Southeast NB

Two people have been arrested as a part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in New Brunswick.

Officers searched a home on Pointe du Chêne Road in Shediac on April 15th.

The following morning, another search warrant was executed at a home Anastasia Crescent in Moncton.

RCMP seized quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, hydromorphone, marijuana shatter, dried cannabis and psilocybin, as well as drug paraphernalia. Police also seized two firearms, several prohibited knives, a set of brass knuckles, and quantities of Canadian currency.

A 29-year-old man from Shediac and a 27-year-old man from Moncton were arrested at the scenes and released pending court appearances in July 2021.

The investigation was conducted as part of a coordinated law enforcement approach that involves resources from the New Brunswick RCMP, as well as the Woodstock Police Force and Fredericton Police Force. These efforts focus on disrupting and dismantling the trafficking of illegal drugs in our province, targeting those causing the most harm in our communities.
