NB Man Not Getting Hopes Up Again For Atlantic Bubble

A New Brunswick man wishes the government wouldn’t set dates for an Atlantic bubble to open.

New Brunswickers had been planning for April 19th to make trips across the border.

But the bubble burst last week, due to a rising number of cases.

David Adams hasn’t see his kids in Nova Scotia in over six months, “It’s almost worse having a date that you think that the bubble is going to open. To have it be cancelled last minute, it would almost be better to say they will let us know just prior to it happening, rather than getting people’s hopes up.”

Adams says he understands why they decided not to open the bubble and he wouldn’t want to risk getting his family sick.

“My parents are also in Nova Scotia. My wife’s parents are there as well. At the same point in time, we do understand know that it is somewhat necessary and we do want to protect the ones we love,” Adams says.

The Atlantic Premiers will re-evaluate at the end of the month.

“Unfortunately, all we can do is wait and see,” Adams adds..
