A longtime Riverview resident and business owner will run for Ward 2 Councillor in the Town of Riverview.
Kevin Steen is a longtime volunteer in youth sports and is also eager to help lead the town’s growth.
“My family and I are deeply invested in Riverview,” he says. “I have been an active volunteer in our community since I was a Riverview High student. I have launched two businesses in this town. Serving on council is the natural next step. At this point in my life, I want to serve at a greater capacity, help shape the direction of our town, and be a voice for my fellow residents now and in the future,” Steen says.
If elected, his priorities include enhancing youth recreation and arts opportunities, being a voice for small businesses and addressing infrastructure projects like roads, town operations and sustainable land development.
“Having grown up playing sports in Riverview and being mentored by many great coaches and managers, I have always known I needed to give back to my community,” he says.
Voters in Riverview will go to the polls on May 10th.
