Fire Damages Exterior Of Vacant Mountain Road Home

Moncton Firefighters battled a blaze at a boarded up home on Mountain Road on Friday morning this morning.

Platoon Chief Dennis Dollemont says they arrived at around 6:20 am to find an exterior fire at the back of the home.

The two storey building has been divided into several apartments.

He says they managed to extinguish it quickly before it spread.

Dollemont says the home was boarded up within the last month.

Fire Investigators are on scene trying to determine the cause.

Codiac RCMP tweeted Mountain Road between Weldon Street and Portledge Avenue was closed while firefighters battled the blaze.
