Thirty-five years ago at Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal, 14 young women were murdered.
Friday marks the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
A candlelight vigil is planned to remember them, and also to commemorate 26 victims from the Greater Moncton region who have faced violent deaths since 1989.
The Moncton and District Labour Council invites the public to attend at Casely Park in Riverview tonight at 6:30 p.m.
