Moncton has introduced two new affordable housing projects that provide support for residents in need.
These developments include eight units on Norwood Avenue and a modular duplex on McLaughlin Drive, according to a government release.
Both are designed to offer safe and accessible homes for individuals and families.
The Norwood Avenue project features 24-hour on-site services aimed at assisting tenants with mental health support, financial literacy, and independent living skills.
This initiative is a collaboration between the Department of Social Development, the Salvus Clinic, and the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick.
The modular duplex on McLaughlin Drive consists of two-bedroom units and will soon accommodate two families.
“These projects reflect our commitment to creating sustainable housing solutions,” Housing Minister, David Hickey said in a government release.
Social Development Minister, Cindy Miles also highlighted the importance of stable housing, describing it as a foundation for a better life.
